Embroidery Washaway Dissolvable 1.21oz Non-Woven - 10" x 10yd Roll (#CW201)
Lightweight 1.21 oz water-soluble non-woven embroidery stabilizer designed to provide reliable support during stitching and dissolve away with water for a clean, backing-free finished design.
Characteristics
Embroidery Washaway Dissolvable 1.21oz Non-Woven is a lightweight water-soluble embroidery stabilizer designed to provide temporary support during machine embroidery while allowing the backing to be removed with water after stitching is complete.
Unlike traditional cut-away or tear-away backing that remains partially attached to the finished embroidery, this wash-away material is designed to dissolve when exposed to water. This makes it an excellent choice for applications where visible or permanent backing is undesirable.
The 1.21 oz non-woven construction provides stability during embroidery, helping control fabric movement while reducing shifting, puckering, and distortion around the stitched design. Its lightweight construction makes it useful for delicate applications where heavier permanent backing could negatively affect the appearance or feel of the finished product.
Washaway stabilizer is especially useful for freestanding lace, patches, appliqué work, decorative embroidery, sheer fabrics, and lightweight materials, as well as projects where both sides of the finished embroidery may remain visible.
It can also be used when embroidering difficult or unstable materials that require temporary support during stitching but should not retain a conventional backing after production.
Supplied in a convenient 10" wide x 10-yard roll, the material can be cut to the size required for different hoops and embroidery designs. This minimizes unnecessary material usage while giving embroiderers flexibility for a wide range of projects.
After embroidery is complete, excess stabilizer can be trimmed away before the remaining material is dissolved with water. Once properly removed, the embroidery remains while the temporary stabilizer is eliminated, producing a clean and professional finished appearance.
