Avient K2440 ASI HD Clear 2 LC is a specialty clear plastisol screen printing ink developed to produce high-gloss dimensional effects that resemble glass, gel, or water. Designed for high-density textile printing, it delivers excellent clarity at heavy ink deposits while providing a smooth, glossy surface and low-tack feel.
HD Clear 2 LC can be printed as a standalone high-density clear or used as an overprint to enhance color vibrancy and add a glossy finish to printed graphics. It can also be tinted with compatible plastisol colorants, allowing printers to create customized transparent colors and dimensional specialty effects.
For additional creative possibilities, HD Clear 2 LC can be blended with compatible texture inks to produce unique surfaces and effects. Its high-density capabilities make it particularly well suited for dimensional graphics where a substantial ink deposit and defined raised appearance are desired.
In addition to decorative applications, HD Clear 2 LC functions as an effective adhesive carrier for foil and flock. Its excellent fabric adhesion, stretch characteristics, and wash durability make it a versatile specialty ink for demanding apparel decoration applications.
The ink has an amber appearance in the container but develops greater transparency after curing. For optimum high-density results, Avient recommends open mesh counts with a 200–400 micron stencil or capillary film, using a heavy flood to completely fill the stencil followed by medium printing pressure.

- Use consistent, high-tension screen mesh and sharp-edged squeegees for optimum print definition.
- For high-density effects, use open mesh counts with a 200–400 micron stencil or capillary film.
- Use a heavy flood stroke to completely fill the open stencil areas, followed by a slower print stroke with medium squeegee pressure.
- A print-flash-print technique can be used when building high-density effects.
- When printing multi-color designs, position HD Clear 2 LC as the final print color whenever possible or flash after each application.
- The ink may appear amber in the container but becomes significantly more transparent after curing.
- HD Clear 2 LC can be tinted with compatible plastisol colorants to create customized transparent and dimensional effects.
- When using the product as a foil or flock adhesive, follow the recommended mesh, stencil, application, and curing procedures for the specific process.
- Store between 65°F and 90°F (18°C–32°C) and protect from direct sunlight.
- Always perform production testing with the actual ink, substrate, equipment, and curing conditions before beginning a full production run.
